59th Annual Christmas Parade

The 59th Annual Christmas Parade was held in the evening, Friday, Nov. 30, in Orange.

About seventy entries were in the parade, totalling approximately one hundred vehicles.

The fire truck of the McLewis Volunteer Fire Department carried Santa and his sleigh into the city.

Here are the trophy winners: Grand Marshal : The Southeast Texas Veterans (God bless them all!) Marching, 1st Place : LCM Honey Bears Marching, 2nd Place : Bridge City Strutters General, 1st Place : LCM Leo Club General, 2nd Place : Boy Scout Troop 311 Religious Theme, 1st Place : Community Church Religious Theme, 2nd Place : Community Christian School, Mrs. Westmoreland's 3rd Grade Class Commercial, 1st Place : Innovations Hair Design & Day Spa Commercial, 2nd Place : Manshack & Sons Judges' Choice, 1st Place : Bayou Bikes Judges' Choice, 2nd Place : Cajun Christmas Judges' Choice, 3rd Place : Girl Scout Troop 3190 Congratulations to all the winners, and many thanks to all the participants of the Parade! The presentation of trophies will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7pm in the Orange Public Library's meeting room.

This parade is dedicated to the memory of Constable Parker Thompson.
