Last updated 12/5/2007 at Noon

The Service League Toy Coffee has become as much a tradition in Orange County as Santa Claus.

This year, the toy coffee will be Thursday, from 10 a.m.

to 2 p.m., at the home of Johnny and Cheryl Sargent, 2460 W. Norman Circle, off Hwy.

105 near the Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo Arena.

The Sargent home, described as “elegant rustic,” will be decorated for the season.

Tours will be given, with the entrance fee a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation for the local Salvation Army.

Refreshments will be served on the patio overlooking the Sargents’ horse farm.

The Service League of Orange has held the annual Toy Coffee for more than half a century to help families in Orange have a merry Christmas.

Cindy Lucia is chair of the event this year, with Carole Nance as co-chair.
