The Orangefield Bobcats took home a special prize this holiday season. They carried away the championship of the Cardinal Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament at Cardinal Gym in Bridge City Friday. Orangefield downed the Vidor Pirates 56-40 for a third straight tournament win to nab the first place trophy. Vidor was also undefeated in the Holiday Classic and ended the two day event in second place. Thursday the Bobcats had defeated the Liberty Panthers 64-51 and the Buna Cougars 54-31. The Bridge City Cardinals took the third place tournament spot Friday downing Liberty. The Cardinals defeated Sheppard 76-40 and feel to Vidor 50-43.
