Dorothea Marie Honeycutt, 88 of Orange was promoted to glory on Sunday, Dec. 30 in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at Dorman Funeral Home at 11:00 am.

The Rev. J.B. Prouse will officiate the service.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Wednesday Jan. 2 at the Funeral Home, from 5:00 p.m.

until 9:00 p.m.

Born to Howard Morton Barker and Bessie (Buxton) Barker in Fowler, Ind., on Aug. 20, 1919.

She was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army and participated in other community activities.

She retired from the accounting department of Orange Memorial Hospital as a clerk, after working there for thirty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; four sisters; a grandson, Billy Honeycutt and her husband of 47 years Jesse Honeycutt Survivors include Son “ Butch” Honeycutt and his wife Jan of Mexia, and daughter Sharon Clark and her husband Lewis of Buna.

She will also be missed by her four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
