Jimmie “PoPo” Duncan, 86, of West Orange, died, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Officiating will be Rev. Kevin Kissel, Rev. Randy Branch and Rev. Kevin Price.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Jimmie was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Beaumont, to George L. and Kate Lear (Karney) Duncan.

Jimmie was a WWII US Army Veteran and retired from DuPont Sabine River Works.

He was a life member of VFW Post 2775 Orange and member of Faith United Methodist Church in West Orange.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Kate Duncan; sisters, Doll Fox and Velma Martin; brother Robert “Red” Duncan.

He is survived by his wife, Della Duncan of West Orange; children, Brenda Ann Foreman and husband T Ray of Vinton, LA, Patsy Ruth Duncan of Orange, Robert Lloyd Duncan and wife Debbie of Bridge City and Ronnie Boyd Duncan of Orange; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brother, George Duncan and wife Janet of Bridge City; sister, Margie Cagle of DeRidder, LA; sisters in law, Thelma Theriot of Florence, LA and Lola Duncan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Hamilton, Matthew Duncan, Jimmie Foreman, Thomas Frederick, Steven Smith, Matt Stevens, Dakota Duncan, Ricky Dorion and Kevin Price.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Odyssey Hospice for their care to Jimmie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Odyssey Hospice.
