Agnes Marie Jones, 89, of Orange, formerly of Lake Arthur, LA , passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at the Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 6, at Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.

until 11:00 a.m.

Sunday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange .

Born on January 22, 1918 in Elm Grove, LA to N. R. and Mellie (Thomas) Oswalt, she was a longtime resident of Lake Arthur, had lived in Orange for the last ten years, worked as a greeter for the Wal-Mart Store in Jennings, LA. as well as other retail stores and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur where she taught Sunday school for 40 years.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jewel T. Jones; her sister, Ola Bell and her brothers, Otis and N. R. Oswalt.

She is survived by her daughters, Vivian Gattis and husband Jerry of Phoenix, AZ, Janet Sadler and husband Alvin of Orange and Eileen Reynolds and husband R. J. of Orange.

She will be missed by her six grandchildren, Julie Gattis, Terry, Heather and Ryan Reynolds, Laurie Arriaga and husband Orlando and Duane Sadler; great grandchildren, Andrew and Garrett Thompson and Annie Metts.
