West Orange – Stark Middle School seventh and eighth grade students heard tips to inspire them to be winners and champions in everything they do today at “The Totally Courageous Basketball Exhibition with Steve Granata”

Granata, an Ohio native, used his basketball skills to communicate a message of excellence.

He used examples from his personal life, the NBA, and Hollywood to illustrate that dreams can be achieved.

Speaking of his personal desire to develop his basketball skills, Granata said, “I took things that looked impossible and I would break them down into small goals. I learned that step by step I could make it happen.”

He encouraged students to make good choices, and also apply effort, integrity, and belief. “Never give up on yourself, never give up on your dreams because they can someday come true,” he said.
