The City of Orange Fire Dept (OFD) responded to a report of a house fire at 4524 Glenhurst this morning at 09:41.

The first arriving units reported heavy smoke showing from the garage area.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported but one of the homeowner’s dogs perished in the fire.

Less than a minute before the house fire was dispatched, OFD responded one fire engine to a medical call on Dawnwood.

OFD requested assistance from Pinehurst Fire Department and Little Cypress Fire & Rescue at the house fire.

Pinehurst Fire Department was dispatched to Glenhurst while Little Cypress was requested to stand by at their station.

Little Cypress Fire & Rescue and West Orange Fire Department were then dispatched to a fire alarm activation at Chilies restaurant in Pinehurst.

All incidents were brought under control and customers stabilized by the cooperation of the greater Orange area fire service agencies.
