Thursday night, Jan. 24, the Bear Swim Team picked up some bling at the District 21 AAAA swim meet held at Central Middle School in Nederland.

The Bears walked away with 3 District Champion titles, 6 medals, and a combined total of 155 points.

Senior Brittney Dorman District Champion – 200 yard freestyle, Silver medal – 500 yard freestyle Scored 37 points Senior Sarah Irving 3d place – 100 yard breaststroke, 6^th place – 100 yard freestyle Scored 29 points Sophomore Dakota Dickerson District Champion – 100 yard breaststroke Scored 20 points Freshman Cassey Brown Silver medal – 200 yard Individual Medley, 3d place – 100 yard backstroke (she swam a personal best time by dropping 7.55 seconds) Scored 33 points Freshman Alex Dorman District Champion – 200 yard freestyle (he was seeded second; he swam a personal best time by dropping 7.05 seconds.), Silver medal – 500 yard freestyle Scored 37 points All of the Bear swim team will be advancing to the Region V swim meet to be held at the Magnolia High School Natatorium on Feb. 8 and 9.
