It helps with gasoline, groceries, medical bills and rent money to aid families in Southeast Texas whose children and youth are battling cancer. The organization was founded in 1999 in memory of Vidor teen Katie Pittman, who lost her life to leukemia that year. The Director of Heartbeats of Hope is Ms. Sally Kirkpatrick.
