Robert “Bob” D. Laing, 67, of Orangefield passed away, Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Snodgrass of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Port Arthur. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bob was born in Port Arthur on November 26, 1940 to Henry F. and Grace (Langdon) Laing. Bob served in the National Guard and worked as a patch foreman for the Texas Highway Department for 28 years. Bob loved to dance country and western, fish, and spend time with family and friends. He also bowled for numerous bowling leagues in Groves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry F. and Grace Laing.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jackie Laing, daughter, Shawna Laing of Orangefield, and brother and sister-in-law, James and Liz Laing of Port Arthur.
