Prescription drugs delivered by UPS to a residence in Beaumont were seized by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Thursday.

They were tipped off by Junction police after UPS receipts were found during a car search. A small amount of marijuana on the two occupants is what prompted the search.

Jefferson County officers were waiting with a search warrant when the California shipment arrived.

To their surprise, the shipment contained bottles of prescription drugs. Seized were almost three dozen bottles of codeine cough syrup, ten bottles of Xanax, Hydrocodone and other prescription drugs.

Pamela Collier, 23, of Beaumont was arrested Thursday in connection with the drug seizure. She is out on a $30,000 bond.
