Jimmy Simmons & Friends Encore will bring an all-star lineup of Lamar University alumni musicians together Saturday, May 3, for a show-stopping jazz concert in the Montagne Center . Lamar University President Jimmy Simmons will lead the ensemble and perform during this evening of spectacular entertainment.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will feature more than two-dozen top talents from across the country.It’s a who’s who of Lamar’s most stellar performers – many of them taught and mentored by Simmons himself.

The evening will offer cabaret-style seating on the floor of the center, priced at $20 per person, plus bleacher seating on the concourse level, $10 per person. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
