Olivia Benoit Mobley, 83, of Groves, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008 at her home in Groves. She was born on June 15, 1924 to Marianne Benoit and Anthanas Benoit, Sr. in Gueydan, Louisiana. Olivia lived in the Port Arthur/ Groves area for over 65 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and served on the altar society.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Dupree, Korey Dupree, Jared Bird, Jeremy Bird, Jarret Romero and Joey Redden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Lewis Mobley, her son, Ken Fontenot as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Dupree of Groves and Sandi Huckabay and her husband Brent of Bridge City, her four grandsons, Shane Dupree of Austin, Korey Dupree of Austin, Jared Bird of Bridge City, Jeremy Bird of Bridge City along with two great grandchildren, Makenna Bird of Bridge City and Kaden Dupree of Austin.

She is also survived by two sisters, Hilda Marcantel of Lafayette, Louisiana and Marian Kelly and her husband Pat of Zachary, Louisiana, her two brothers, Anthanas Benoit, Jr. of Bridge City and Percy Benoit of Orangefield.
