The two top graduates for the LCM Class of 2008 are Monica Hambrick, Valedictorian and Sarah Irving, Salutatorian.
Hambrick is the daughter of Michael and Joanna Hambrick.
She has been a member of the All-Region Band, All-Region Jazz Band and was named Outstanding Band Student.Hambrick is a member of the UIL Literary Criticism Team, and was on the 1st Place Academic Challenge Team at Cypress Challenge.
She is an active member of North Orange Baptist Church.
Irving is the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Irving.
She has earned numerous LCM Academic awards.
She has also been a member of the UIL Math Number Sense and Calculator Team.
Irving has served as the National Honor Society Project Chair.
Her athletic activities include being a four-year Varsity swimmer and Regional Qualifier.
She is a member of Girl Scout Troop 6069.
Other awards include a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Gold Medal and Excellence Award.
Graduation ceremonies for LCM High School will be held at 2:00 p.m.
at the Beaumont Civic Center on May 3.
