Area students recipients of Cajun Music Association scholarships
The Cajun French Music Association – Golden Triangle Chapter announced the awarding of three $500 Scholarships to area graduates.
The recipients are: Alex Garrett Breaux and Anna Sue Hebert, both from Hamshire-Fannett High School and Cameron Michael LaFleur from Orangefield High School. All three students will be attending one of the Lamar University System’s campuses.
Breaux plans to attend Lamar Institute of Technology, majoring in “Process Operations Technology. Hebert plans to attend Lamar University and then attend Medical School. LaFleur is preparing to graduate from Lamar University with a degree in engineering.
“We are proud of our area graduating seniors and would like to take this time to acknowledge their hard work,” said Becky Alexander, chairperson of the Scholarship Committee.
