Summertime at the Library
Are you looking for summer activities for the family? Check out the Bridge City Public Library!
For children we have reading programs. Our popular Summer Reading Program includes guest speakers and demonstrations each Wednesday from 11a.m.-12 noon. The Ringling Brothers Reading Programs gives a free circus ticket to those who read 5 books, and the Barnes and Nobles Reading Program gives a free book to those who read 8 books. Get the forms at the library.
The whole family can take a break from chores and select a current DVD to watch. Going on a trip? Check out our audio books both on cassette and on CD. We even have some oldie CD music recordings for your enjoyment.
If you need to get out of the heat, stop in and read our newspapers and current magazines. You can check out our older magazine editions to read at home. While here, sign up for a computer and surf the web, research your hobbies, email, play games, word process or whatever… If you prefer your own laptop, bring it in. We have wireless access.
You can also shop at our used book sale in the lobby. For fifty cents a book, who cares if you lose it on vacation!
Need a copy of some important paper? We have a new copier to serve you.
Can’t make it to the library? Go to our website and check our catalog. Need help when we’re not open? Go to our website and get help by clicking on the Info 24/7 icon.
And most important, we have books, books, books… Fiction books, non-fiction books, children’s books, teen books, graphic comic books, large print books, reference books and even books on tape or CD. If we don’t have what you need, we can borrow it from another library for you.
We invite you in to check us out!
