The keynote speaker will be Dr. Brent Bost, a Beaumont physician, author, businessman, accountant and educator. Bost earned five degrees from Lamar and remains active on behalf of his alma mater.
August graduates hail from 11 countries, 11 states outside Texas and 55 cities in Texas . Ten are scheduled to receive doctorates, including four doctor of audiology degrees, four doctor of engineering degrees and two doctor of philosophy degrees in chemical engineering.
Graduation candidates also include 169 for master’s degrees and 219 for 222 bachelor’s degrees, with three students earning two degrees each.
