Vidor man charged with manslaughter
A manslaughter charge and two sexual assault charges topped Orange County grand jury indictments released this week. Individuals listed are from Orange unless otherwise indicated, according to District Attorney John Kimbrough’s office.
Earl Garza, 23, of Vidor, is charged with manslaughter / negligent homicide. He allegedly drove his vehicle around a railroad crossing and was struck by a train. A passenger was killed.
Charles Jordan, 38, of Vidor, is charged with sexual assault.
According to the indictment, a child was assaulted in a Vidor residence.
Aggravated sexual assault / indecency with a child charges went to James Ross, 30, and Jeff Crain, 28, both of Vidor. The indictment states that two men assaulted a child in a residence in Vidor.
Eric Williams, 21, is charged with indecency with a child.
Other charges include: Felony DWI, Colven Simmons, 59, of Vidor; Brad Wiegand, 26, of Bridge City; Raymond Ratley, 59, of Fred; and William Johnson, 38.
Felony theft: in separate cases, Ronny Dowers, 41, of Vidor; Bobby Spoonmore, 34, of Bridge City; and Randy Terry, 27.
Aggravated robbery: Alejandro Cruz, 17, of Garland. He reportedly took part in the Texas 62 Orange Savings Bank robbery in February.
Felony forgery: Tony Henry, 36, of Vidor; Katrina Arnold, 31; Turquoise James, 22; and Charlene Stout, 33, of Deweyville.
Aggravated assault: Daniel Crain, 45.
Injury to a child: Marie Parker, 35; Bobby Roy Levi, 28.
