The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Child Nutrition Program has new operating procedures that will give LCM students more time to eat and less time having to stand in line to check out. The cafeteria’s financial system is linked to the new Skyward program, which is being used throughout the District to handle student and personnel records as well as the District’s financial program.

One of the changes that will affect some students is that the serving lines will now be “cashless.”
Although most of the District’s students have been depositing money into an account to be able to pay without carrying cash, now everyone will be required to do so.

Students will run their ID badges through a scanner, which is similar to the ones used in retail stores, to pay for their meals. There are no tickets to sign and the entire process per child takes one to two seconds. Another benefit of the new system for some is that those who are on free and reduced meals are totally anonymous. The Child Nutrition office personnel are the only ones who know which students are enrolled in that program.

There are several ways to deposit money into your child’s account.
Send a personal check for a minimum of $30 to the LCM Food Service, 6586 FM 1130, Orange, Texas 77632. Include the child’s full name and student number in the memo line.
Send cash via your child to the cafeteria to be deposited in their account. Any amount is accepted.
Money orders – include child’s full name and student number – are accepted.
Make a bank draft and include the child’s full name and student number.
To pre-pay on the web via credit card or automatic withdrawal, go to the LCM home page at, select “quicklinks” then “cafeteria e-pay.”

All deposits (other than electronic) should be made in the cafeteria before the school day begins.
