WO-CCISD hosts donation drive to aid families
The West Orange – Cove CISD will hold a donation drive to assist families and students impacted by Hurricane Ike.
The District will welcome new or gently used clothing of all types, standardized dress and/or casual clothing, in all sizes, infant through adult.
Additionally the district will accept diapers, toiletries, school supplies, and cash donations.
Community members may deliver donations to West Orange – Cove Central Services (formerly West Orange – Stark Intermediate), 2020 Western Avenue. Deliveries will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Deliveries will be accepted at the side door nearest the Carl Godwin Auditorium. The site will be marked by orange safety cones and signs. Small donations will also be accepted at all West Orange – Cove CISD campus and department offices.
Monetary donations may be made to West Orange – Cove CISD, noting “Donation for Hurricane Ike,” P.O. Box 1107, Orange, Tx. 77631.
The items will be distributed by West Orange – Cove Family Services to any area family in need, including WO-C staff members, beginning Thursday, Sept. 25. Families are welcome to view and select donated items at WO-C Central Services, beginning Thursday, Sept. 25.
