Ike may have flooded the Lions Club Carnival when he blew through, but it wasn’t enough to dampen the spirits of carnival goers last week.

The Lions Club was able to repair all but one of the rides and decided the to open the carnival after a delay to give Orange County residents a break from all the clean-up and reconstruction after the hurricane.

For a little while they could forget about “camping out” and enjoy the breeze from the scrambler as it whipped around in its circular path.

The  carnival continues this week, opening back up on Wednesday and continuing through Saturday.

This year admission to the carnival is free.
