Wanted O’field man arrested in Wyoming
Timothy Pearce Michael, 44, charged with involuntary manslaughter, in the 2006 death of his wife in Orangefield, has been arrested in Cheyenne, Wyo.
After failing to appear before District Judge Buddy Hahn on Friday, Michael’s original $25,000 bond was revoked. Warrants were re-issued for the voluntary manslaughter charge as well as two counts of felony driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
Bond was set at $100,000 for each offense.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office was tipped off that Timothy Michael was in Cheyenne at the Rodeo Inn.
Wyoming officials, while attempting to serve a warrant, learned Michael had checked out two days before. The motel clerk had registered Michael’s vehicle upon check-in and was able to provide information to authorities. The vehicle was located in Wyoming Monday night around 10 p.m.
Capt. Tommy Smith of the Orange County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division said Michael was arrested shortly after without incident. He is scheduled to appear in a Wyoming court to waive extradition back to Texas.
He is accused in the death of 39-year old Theresa Marie Michael on Oct. 6, 2006. She was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
