Chocolate Pecan Pie
Charles and I were us at 2 a.m. Thursday morning watching it snow. There was just enough to make ice cream.
When you mention eating snow everyone jumps straight up in the air. It may be bad for you however, no more than it snows in our neighborhood, I don’t think it will hurt me.
They say it might even snow again. I have my spoon ready.
My daughter-in law Marcia told me she had heard how to make a chocolate pecan pie, so I thought I would pass it on to your. I don’t think that she has made it, I know I haven’t.
You cover the bottom of your pie crust with chocolate chips then pour your favorite pecan pie mix over it.
I have a good pecan pie recipe for you so you can try it.
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup light Karo syrup
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3/4 stick melted oleo (I use butter)
• 1 1/2 cups pecans
• 1 9 inch unbaked pie shell
Beat eggs, add other ingredients and pour into pie shell. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes.
