Darlene Taylor Leger, 67, of Port Arthur, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 until 9 p.m., Monday, Jan. 5 at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. 
Born on Aug. 3, 1941 in Orange to Vernon L. Taylor and Lula Eve (Bonnin) Taylor, she was a lifelong resident of Southeast Texas and had most recently worked as a warehouse supervisor for Time Warner Cable. Darlene was a simple lady who enjoyed spending time with her family.  
Preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Valton Taylor, those who will most cherish her memory are her son, Michael Leger and his wife Mamie of Nederland; brothers, Vernon L. “Tinky” Taylor Jr. of Colorado, LeRoy Bendo and his wife Brenda of Deweyville, Richard Bendo and Johnny Bendo both of Orange; three grandchildren, Drake Leger, Marcella Leger and Nicholas Matar; her very close friends, Lannie Rash of Colorado, Frances Breaux of Bridge City and Linda Bean of Labelle; Darlene is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
