Charles “Chuck” Mann, 46, of Orange, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A time of memories from family and friends will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Born on Jan. 7, 1963 in Orange, Chuck was a lifelong resident of the Orange area. He worked in the industries of construction and home repair as a carpenter and he was of the Baptist faith. Chuck was a very devoted family man, being a great father to his daughters and an awesome paw paw to his grandkids. He enjoyed working in the yard, researching and learning information on the internet, playing the guitar and singing. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Ruby and Junior.
Chuck is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pete and Bernice Mosley; his brother, Gerald Mann and numerous aunts and uncles.
Those who will most cherish his memory are his mother, Carol Brister and her husband Don of Orange; his father, Allen Mann of Tennessee; daughters, Leia Mann of Orange, Elysia Haley and her husband Curley Guidry IV, of Church Point, La. and Tabitha Tompkins and her husband Matthew of Deweyville; brothers, David Mann and his wife Letha and their daughter, Amanda Sedita of Missoula, Mont. and Jason Seibert of Orange; uncle, Clifford Mosley of Orange; his very special grandchildren, Mikey Forker, Keadon Tompkins and Curley Guidry V. Chuck is also survived by many extended family and friends.
