Cristan Cody May became the bride of Jerrad Anthony Toups March 14 at Freedom Fellowship Church in Silsbee. The Rev. Shannon Kilpatrick officiated the double ring ceremony. 

The bride is the daughter or Ronnie and Cindy Stephens of Silsbee and Ben and Annette May of Lufkin. Her father and stepfather escorted her down the aisle.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Melanie Toups of Bridge City.

Maid of honor was Candace Trahan. Bridesmaids were Betty Roberts, Meridith Jenkins, Melissa May, cousin of the bride, Jamie Clements, Audra Murdoch, and Jacqueline Toups, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Hannah Williford and Nikki Page. Flower girls included Sara LeDoux, Elise LeDoux, both cousins of the groom, Ally Garcia, Jordan Weaver and Bethany Kay. 

Andre’ LeDoux, uncle of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Holton, Jeff Book, John Huang, Tony Giarratano, Kevin Ernst and Willie Merkelz. Ushers were Joel Weaver and Calvin Williford, uncle of the bride. Ring bearers were Tommy Garcia and Jackson Weaver.

Freedom Fellowship Church was also the site of the reception. Sydney Wong, cousin of the groom, registered the guests.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Silsbee High School and will graduate from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in May 2009. She is employed with Calvary Baptist Beaumont. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Bridge City High School and holds a bachelor of business administration and management degree from Lamar University. He is employed with Education First Credit Union and is a graduate student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prenuptial courtesies included showers given by family and friends.

Following their honeymoon to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Lumberton.
