Jack H. Riley
Jack H. Riley, 62, of Rose City died June 3, 2009 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., on Saturday, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m., before the service.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Vidor, and a retired estimator with D&S Signs in Beaumont. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. Jack was an avid duck hunter and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Warren Riley and brother, Warren Riley.
Jack is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pat Riley of Rose City; sons, Jack Anthony Riley and wife Thya of Allentown, Pa., Chris Hale and wife Blanca of The Woodlands, Greg Melanson and wife Becky, Glen Melanson and daughter Dannis; mother, Rita Riley; brother, David Riley and wife Teresa all of Vidor; eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends Jerry Jordan, Carrol Price and Carey Barclay. Jack donated his body to Baylor College of Medicine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, 2450 N. Major Dr., Beaumont, TX 77713.
Following Jack’s lifelong history, dress for the service will be casual.
