Brady mobile office
Staffers with U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady’s (R-The Woodlands) Eighth District Mobile Office will be in Bridge City and Vidor Tuesday to answer questions from constituents.
Caseworkers can help with government problems such as Social Security, Medicare, veterans benefits, the IRS, immigration and passport issues.
Times will be from 8 to 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Vidor, 350 N. Main St.; and from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bridge City High School, 2690 Texas Ave.

The Elijah’s Place program conducted by Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas seeks volunteer facilitators to provide ongoing grief support services to children, ages 5 to 18, who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. Facilitators must complete 20 hours of specialized training prior to volunteering with the age-specific groups. Protecting God’s Children training and a one-year commitment are also required. The next training session will be 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 at Catholic Charities, 2780 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont.

The Orange Thrift and Gift Shop is accepting vendors for its July “Firecracker Sale,” set for July 1-28. Vendors should set up appointments to list their items June 25-26, and to receive criteria for the event. Special sale items are to be picked up July 29. The Bridge City Strutters will host a link sale and car wash Saturday and two difference locations. The link sale will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bridge City Walgreen’s parking lot, and boudin will also be available. The car wash will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the State Farm-Bill Nickum Agency offices.
Project Graduation meeting for WO-S to be held
The West Orange-Stark High School 2010 Project Graduation Parent meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, in the Library Lecture Room at West Orange-Stark High School. All parents of 2010 Seniors are invited to attend this meeting to discuss important issues regarding this exciting end of year event.
