Earline T. Matthews, 79, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Silsbee Convalescent Center in Silsbee. Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at North Main Church of Christ in Vidor. Mr. Mark Legendre will be officiating the services.
A native of Call, she has lived in Vidor for 53 years and was a homemaker. Earline was a beloved wife, mother, Nanee, and a true woman of many talents. 

Earline was preceded in death by her husband James “Dick” Matthews; parents Frank and Kate Tucker; and her brother Raymond Tucker. 

She is survived by her daughters, Michele Linda Matthews, Sharon Kay Hight and husband, Jimmy all of Vidor; brothers, Dorman Tucker of Channelview and Jerry Tucker of Vidor; sisters, Kathy Watts and husband Tommy of Port Neches, Gloria Guidry and husband Gene, Alice Springfield; and sister-in-law, Margaret Tucker all of Vidor,; three grandchildren, Lance Jones and wife Pazley, Billy and Jamie Hight; and one great-grandson, James Jones. 

The family would like to give special thanks to The Silsbee Convalescent Center and Odyssey Hospice for all their loving care.
