Grand Jury hands down Capital Murder indictment in double homicide
The Orange County Grand returned an indictment for Capital Murder Wednesday for Martin Edward Fox, 43, from Vidor.
On Sunday, June 7, an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy was stopped by a 17 year old male while on patrol at approximately 12:30 a.m. The subject reported witnessing a homicide that had just occurred at 4574 East Railroad in Vidor. Deputies responding to the scene found the bodies of 27 year old Christina Marie Adams and 40 year old Candy Renee Fox.
Believing the suspect was still at the residence, Orange County SWAT team members were deployed after securing a warrant for 43 year old Martin Edward Fox, a white male. Upon entering the residence, it was found vacant.
The Orange County Homicide Investigation Team (HIT) began investigating the double homicide, once they arrived on the scene.
At 8:28 am, Fox surrendered himself to authorities at the Vidor Police Station. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Orange County Jail where he was booked on two counts of homicide and one count of aggravated assault.
Fox is currently in the Orange County Jail and bail has been denied.
