Red Hot Flashers
The Red Hot Flashers of the Red Hat Society will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at the West Orange Wal-mart. The ladies will carpool to the Pompano restaurant in Port Arthur for a bodacious luncheon.
Birthdays to be celebrated are for “Louisiana Lady” Joyce Domas.
Each lady is asked to bring a small door prize.

Graduation pictures are available in the front office of the high school for those who purchased a package. Hours are 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m Mondays through Thursdays.
Benefit / fundraiser
Shave Ice Delite, corner of Lansing and Western Avenue in West Orange, will sell snow cones from 2-7 p.m. July 22 with proceeds to go to the Texas Federation for the Blind.
The nonprofit group works to improve educational and social opportunities of visually-impaired individuals.
Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo
The 2009 Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the rodeo arena of Farm Road 105, a half-mile east of Texas 62 in Orange. This year features $1,200 added money. Coggins vaccinations are required for entries. Events include junior bull riding, team roping, calf scramble, breakaway, steer wrestling, tiedown, barrel racing, lamb scramble, bull riding and sheep riding and calf dressing. Troop support care packages
The Marines of Southeast Texas Family Support Group will have a link / bake sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Market Basket on 27th Street and Nederland Avenue in Nederland. Bobcat football camp
The 2009 Orangefield Bobcat Football Camp will be from 8-11 a.m. July 27-30, for incoming Orangefield seventh- , eighth and ninth-graders. Cost is $30, and checks should be made payable to “Orangefield Athletics.” For more information, call Coach Brian Huckabay at 735-4504.
BCHS 2010 Project Graduation to meet
Planning for the 2010 Project Graduation has begun. Scheduled meetings are at 7 p.m., the first Monday of the month at Bridge City High School Library.
The next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 3.
All parents and seniors are needed in planning and fundraising for a successful event.
BC Band Boosters to meet
The monthly Bridge City Band Boosters meeting has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, in the high school band hall.
