Lucille E. Calhoun
Lucille E. Calhoun, 62, of Bridge City, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur after an illness. Dorman Funeral Home in Orange will handle cremation arrangements. The family will host a gathering reception from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Family Center of St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1155 West Roundbunch Road in Bridge City.
Born on June 17, 1947 in Orange to Charles William Desper and Beulah Mae (Ferguson) Desper, she lived in Bridge City for 18 years. She had previously lived in North Attleboro, Mass. Lucille was a homemaker and of the protestant faith. Lucille enjoyed gardening. She always enjoyed having pets in her home and spending time with her family.
Lucille is preceded in death by her mother.
Those who are grieving her loss, yet cherishing her memory are her father, Charles William Desper of Beaumont; sons, William G. Calhoun III of Plainville, Mass. and Jeffery Scott Calhoun and his wife Karen G. Calhoun of Bridge City; sisters, Emma Jean Griffin and her husband Thomas of Bridge City and Carol Daigle and her husband Jay of Orange; brothers, Robert Davis and his wife Kristine of Orange, Albert Desper and his wife Deborah of Bridge City and Thomas Simar and his wife Susan of Orange; grandsons, Cody William Calhoun and John William Caragianis. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive Lucille.
