BC Chamber honors Complete Staffing, Benfield
Complete Staffing was recognized as business of the month at the monthly Bridge City Chamber of Commerce coffee; and Penny Benfield of Luv Lingerie was named employee of the month.
Complete Staffing opened in Bridge City after Hurricane Ike to speed up the recovery process, searching out employers who needed work and placing workers where help was needed helped get the community back on track.
Stephanie Sonnier of Complete Staffing said, “We decided to open an office in Bridge City to support the revitalization of our area. Moving our location from Beaumont to Bridge City was a decision many did not understand; but the owners were willing to take the risk to show our confidence in the storm ravaged community, hoping that others would follow and reopen in Bridge City as well.”
For help in placing workers, or if you are searching for a job, call Complete Staffing at 735-2600, or visit their offices at 1145 Texas Ave., Suite G, in The Grace Plaza.
Benfield worked for the Beaumont Independent School District 13 years before moving on to Luv’s. She met and married John
Benfield four years ago and moved to Bridge City. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
Penny’s husband and sons all served in the armed forces and are members of the American Legion in Bridge City. At one time, both her sons served active duty at the same time.
Pam Vincent, owner of Luv Lingerie says Penny has been an employee with Luv Lingerie since May 2008. “She has been a very dedicated employee and has been eager to help our business recoup from Hurricane Ike.”
Penny was influential in helping Pam make the decision to reopen Luv Lingerie. She offered her time to support Lou Raburn and Pam Vincent in getting the store relocated to its current location and has been an asset to Luv Lingerie.
“She’s very eager to help her customers with special needs and she encourages them to shop Bridge City. She always has a pleasant smile and kind voice. It takes a special person to work in this type of business and I am grateful to have Penny as my partner,” Vincent said.
