FBC-Orange features kids’ activities
Children of First Baptist Church-Orange have a new, special worship service designed just for them, for children entering grades K-5. “Trek 252” takes place Sundays from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Children have the opportunity to be in small groups completing Bible activities, worshipping together with encouraging, upbeat contemporary Christian music and watching dramatized stories from the Bible with messages for today’s child.
Adult teams lead the worship services each week and themes are carried out during each month. The theme for August is “Love.” A special invitation to children of the community to visit this children’s worship service is extended to all children in this age group.
Parents or guardians and older siblings are invited to attend the contemporary worship service, “First Journey” at the same time, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., in the Family Life Center.
Bible-led activities for preschoolers are also provided during this same time frame.
Aug. 30 will be a Fall Kickoff for “Trek 252” with special activities planned.
The church is at 602 W. Green Ave. Todd Beasley is the minister of spiritual development. Pam King is the Children’s Ministry Director and Deanna Blanchard is the co-coordinator of “Trek 252.”
