Claudia Mae Mortimer Abercrombie, 64, of Orange, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at Herman Memorial Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 5, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, and 5-9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Claudia was born on Dec. 14, 1944, in Orange. She was the daughter of Olins E. Fowler and Lutisnie (Goins) Flower.  Claudia was a past auxiliary president of American Legion Post 49.  She was also head custodian at Vidor High School for thirty years.

Claudia is preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her sons, Roger Beaumont Sr., Henry E. Beaumont Sr., Glen F. Beaumont, Robert E. Beaumont and Manuel D. Beaumont; daughter, Ann Kay Chandler; twenty-one grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Claudia is also survived by her sister, Patricia Robertson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Beau Beaumont, Roman Beaumont, Henry Beaumont, Robert Beachux, Glen Beaumont Jr., Hunter Beaumont, Dennis Haley and Forrest Hubbard.
