Charles W. Cagle, Sr., 87, of Orange, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at his home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday from Calvary Baptist Church in Orange with the Rev. David Millner officiating. Burial will follow in Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born on Nov. 15, 1921, in Collins, Miss, to Walter Cagle and May (Mason) Cagle, he served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Boilermakers Local 587. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Orange.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Louise Cagle; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Cagle Jr. of Orange; son James H. Cagle of Orange; seven grandchildren, Cara Cagle Naizer of Clyde, Angela Cagle McGee, James “Jay” Cagle, Savannah Cagle, Mason Cagle all of Orange, and Jennifer Cagle Lemon and Jennings Cagle both of Martin, Tenn.; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Ida Warden of Hattiesburg, Miss. 

Pallbearers will be Charles Cagle Jr., James H. Cagle, James “Jay” Cagle, Cody Gray, John McGee and Kevin McGee.
