Jack Rose, 62, of Bridge City, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City, with Father Steven Leger serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be 3-10 p.m. Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. A Christian Wake service will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, also at the funeral home.
Born on Oct. 1, 1947, in Cocada, Minn., Mr. Rose was the son of Harlon and Beverly (Sammons) Rose. He was a locator for the SM&P Company and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Linda Rose of Bridge City; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kara Rose of Santa Fe, Texas; and grandchildren, Koral and Kagen Rose, also of Santa Fe.
Also surviving are his sisters, Beverly Hays of Coldwater, Miss., Carole Vernier of Lake Charles, La., Kathleen Harris (Charles), Sherri Russell (Bill), all of Highlands; and brother, Bill Rose (Karen) of Sunflower, Miss.
