Orange native to headline Gulf Coast Hall of Fame Show
The 23rd Annual Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame Show will be headlined by this year’s inductee, Marcia Ball.
Formerly known at the Janis Joplin Birthday Bash, the Hall of Fame Show is scheduled of 7 p.m. to midnight, Jan. 23, at the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur.
Ball will be joined on stage by Jiven’ Gene, Nederland’s Susan Pierce as Janis Joplin with Ultra Suede, Still Cruisin Band feat, Cheryl Guidry and Kenneth Babino, and this year’s other inductee, Floyd Soileau, owner of Jin Records of Ville Platte, La.
Advance general admission tickets are $22 and available on Dec. 30 through the afternoon of January 22 at the Penny Record office at 333 W. Roundbunch Road in Bridge City or The County Record office in Orange at 320 Henrietta Street. Tickets will be available at the door the date of the show for $24. Box office opens at 6 p.m. Children 12 and under accompanied by an adult will be admitted free. Doors open at 6:30.
The Robert A. “Bob” Bowers Civic Center is located at 3401 Cultural Center Drive, off Highway 73 in Port Arthur.
