Georgia Morgan Taylor died on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 in Oceanside, Calif. from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, in Orange at Cove Baptist Church.  A luncheon will be held for all friends and family immediately following services.

 Georgia lived in Bridge City for most of her life before moving to Oceanside in June of 2005. She was born on Dec. 28, 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa.  

Georgia was a faithful member of Cove Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She taught Sunday school for many years as well as made weekly visits to children and members of her congregation.  Serving the Red Cross from 1989 until 2005, Georgia logged 3,995 hours helping patients and visitors at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Orange. During the first years of service she also worked at Orange Red Cross offices, greeting and assisting those in need.

Gardening and daylilies were a passionate love of Georgia’s.  She touched many lives of those who knew her.  Our mother’s life was a testament of her faith in her Lord and Savior.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Taylor; mother and father, Mary and Maurice Morgan; brother, Richard “Dick” Morgan; and granddaughter, Danielle Marie Crosby.

Survivors are her daughters, Dana Taylor Crosby of Vista, Calif. and Traci Taylor Berry of Bridge City; son-in-law, Barry Crosby of Vista; grandsons, Joshua Taylor Berry of Fort Worth and Ryan Taylor Gremillion of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughters, Morgan Berry of San Antonio and Madison and Kendall Crosby of Vista.
