Jeannie Riddling, 80, of Bridge City, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Harbor Hospital in Orange. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be the Rev. John Bickham, the Rev. Charles Miller and the Rev. Robert Hargrave. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jeannie was born in Prescott, Ark. on Sept. 24, 1929. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bridge City and the Red Hat Society. She had been a volunteer at Park Place Medical Center and enjoyed playing dominos.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mae Loe; and her husband of 55 years, Gene Riddling.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Louis Davis of Bridge City; son, David Riddling of Hemphill; grandchildren, Shannon Pruett and her husband, Brad, Nikki Soileau and her husband, Chris, Ashley Charlton and her husband, Drew, Chere Johnson and her husband, Billy. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Blake and Mason Pruett, Alex Soileau and Christina Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Bill Edd Dixon of Orange and Martha and Jim Cockrill of Sulphur, La.
