Zula Marie Folsom, 70, of Orange, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services to honor her life will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Vicar Tom Haas with Grace Lutheran Church in Orange. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 -9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Born on May 16, 1940 in Abbeville, La. to parents, John Datly Guidry and Lou May (Langlinais) Guidry, she had lived in Orange for 54 years, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Orange and a homemaker. Zula enjoyed working in her yard, growing flowers, enjoyed caring for children and spending time with her family.

Zula is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, William Lamar Folsom;  daughters, Janie Self, and Sandra Bernard and husband, Joe; son, Keith Folsom and wife, Ann all of Orange; her sisters, Georgie Jeanise and husband, Henry of Orange and Dianna Miguez and husband, Kenwood of New Iberia, La.; her brothers, Bill Guidry and wife, Rene of Loreauville, La. and John Guidry and wife, Irene of New Iberia; her four grandchildren, Michele Stone, Rusty Benard, Amber Smith and Brian Folsom; her three great-grandchildren, Madeline Stone, Tre’ Bernard and Sydney Smith. Zula is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Pallbearers for the services will be John Shaver, Joe Bernard, Rusty Bernard, John Stone, Jason Smith and Lowell Nance.
