Orangefield High School has announced the first day of class will be Monday, Aug. 23.

All fees or fines must be paid and immunization records must be up to date before students pick up their schedule. A freshmen parent meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3. Student schedules, class officer nominations, and parking permits will also be handled that day. Students need to be ready to nominate five students from their grade level by secret ballot when they pick up their schedules.

Schedules must be picked up during the times listed below.
12th Grade – 2 – 3 p.m.
11th Grade – 3 – 4 p.m.
10th Grade – 4 – 5 p.m.
 9th Grade – 5 p.m. Followed by a brief parent meeting with question and answer session

Schedule change requests must be submitted to the office by Tuesday, Aug. 10. Freshman may return their requests on Aug. 11 at Fish Camp. Schedule change requests will not be accepted after this date and the current schedule will remain in effect until January. It is very important that you pick up schedules and make change requests before school begins.

Wednesday, Aug. 11, all ninth grade students are encouraged to attend the Fish Camp from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. During the summer, all incoming 9th grade students are required to receive their next set of immunizations. Please make sure the immunization record is updated and bring a copy of it with you.

Before reserving a parking space: You must pick up your schedule card and have a signed drug testing form on file. Requirements to reserve a parking space are: 1. Signed drug testing form on file; 2. $10 fee in numbered parking area or $5 fee behind field house and at the new gym; 3. Proof of insurance; 4. Valid Texas driver license; 5. Car license plate number.

Seniors who register first will have first choice in reserving a parking space. Other classes may reserve a space at their registration times. Parking spaces behind the field house and in the new gym parking area are available. Any student who does not register his or her vehicle will not be allowed to park on campus. All students who park vehicles on campus must have a parking permit and park in their designated spaces. Speed limit on campus is 10 mph. Failure to register your vehicle may result in ISS and the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense.
