The Bridge City Library is currently taking applications for enrollment into their story time program, which begins Wednesday, Sept. 8, and concludes in May. It is free to community members.

The Lap Sit program and is open to area children from birth to pre-school. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The library will host two class sessions each Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-1:30 p.m. The program is limited to 20 children per class, and early registration is encouraged.

Activities for the classes usually include two stories, songs, puzzles, a parent involved craft, and a time for the children to interact together.

“The classes are a lot of fun. Most of the children stay with the program year after year,” said librarian Michelle Watson.

Ginger Tuttle, librarian and volunteer, and Shirley Jordan also participate in the program and plan activities for the children.
