Texas Ren Fest final weekend set for Nov. 26-28
Thy merriment awaits! Kick off the Holiday Season 16th Century-style! New Market Village will open its gates on Friday for a three-day event devoted to Christmas revelry. Daily festivities include a Yuletide Scavenger Hunt, Pumpkin-Pie Eating Contest, meet and greets with our very own Father Christmas, Guess the Present Contest, and the space to place ornaments on Celtic Christmasour shire’s trees for a Best Ornament Contest. Celtic Christmas is sponsored by DeMontrond Auto Group.
The Royal Family invites the young and young at heart to bring their holiday gift list between the hours of 10 am to 5 pm to the Texas Renaissance Festival’s very own Father Christmas. Meet and greet Father Christmas at the Revels Stage and be sure to bring the camera and snap a photo memory to last a lifetime.
The Texas Renaissance Festival welcomes more than 400,000 guests annually who enjoy hundreds of costumed performers showcased in over 200 daily performances. Visitors meander along shaded cobblestone walkways lined with more than 340 shoppes overflowing with unique arts and crafts or offering delicious foods and beverages. All ages are amused by the games of skill and thrilled by the human-powered rides. A perfect day ends with the Royal Fireworks display held at dusk. The 36th season is quickly coming to a close with only one weekend left.
