Bridge City Orangefield community Christmas basket sign-up
Christmas Baskets will be given to indigent Bridge City and Orangefield residents who are age 60+ or disable with an income below poverty. Sign – Up will take place at the Ministerial Alliance building next to First Baptist Church of Bridge City between Nov. 30 – Dec. 1 and Dec. 6 – 8 from 9 from noon.
Eligibility depends on proof of income. You must present a utility bill to verify address and have an ID of all family members.
Donations are needed for this program to continue.
Any business, church, individual, or organization may make a donation to the account of Bridge City Orangefield Ministerial Alliance Christmas Basket Fund at the Bridge City Bank.
First Baptist Church of Orange to serve refreshments at parade
First Baptist Church of Orange will be serving hot chocolate and popcorn during the Orange Jaycees’ Christmas Parade, Friday, Dec. 3. The church is located at the corner of 6th Street and Green Avenue. The community is invited to stop by and enjoy the parade and refreshments. Salem UMC to host Christmas Cantata
Salem United Methodist Church will hold its Christmas Cantata Sunday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m.
The program will feature contemporary gospel music and a Christmas musical entitled “The Perfect Gift”.
The concert is free to the public and refreshments will be served.

McDonald Memorial Baptist Christmas programs set
McDonald Memorial Baptist Church invites the public to special Christmas music programs. On Sunday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m., “O Holy Night” will be presented by the Sanctuary Choir, directed by Pam Nugent, Minister of Music.
On Sunday, Dec. 12, the preschool choir will perform, directed by Joanna Peveto. “Star of Wonder” musical will be performed by Club J, the first through fifth grade choir, directed by Pam Nugent. A nursery will be provided. The church is located on the corner of South and Broad Streets in West Orange, near the Lions Den Park.

St. Mark Lutheran Church invites area youth for pizza with Santa
St. Mark Lutheran Church, 945 W. Roundbunch Road in Bridge City, invites area youth and their families for “Pizza with Santa.” This event will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, begining at 6 p.m. All children attending will be treated to a pizza supper, desserts, gifts and pictures all compliments of Santa. Yes, that jolly ole’ fat man in the red suit, agreed to a visit fo Bridge City this year to see the area youth.
St. Mark’s Church is the “Little Church with the Big Heart” and wishes to share their love wih the children of the community. FBC of Orange to host evening of Christmas music
An evening of traditional and contemporary Christmas music will be presented by the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church of Orange, Sunday, Dec. 12. Beginning at 6 p.m., the Adult Choir, an instrumental group, ensembles, preschoolers and children will be singing the songs of the season.
After the musical, members and guests will have the opportunity to share Christmas refreshments in the lobby of the church’s Family Life Center. Each Connection Group will have a decorated table with refreshments provided by their group.

Salem UMC to host symphony of ‘The Magnificat’
Salem United Methodist Church will host the symphony of “The Magnificat” on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. The symphony will be performed by Mr. Hughie Allen and Rev. Franklin Gans.
