Harvest “Boe” Robertson
The Celebration of Life for Mr. Harvest “Boe” Robertson, 75 of Orange will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Greater St. Paul Christian Fellowship. Bishop Raymond C. Young, Sr., pastor, will officiate. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church.He died November 29, 2010 at his residence.
Harvest was born to Izera and Era Byrd Robertson in Teneha, TX. He was united in marriage to Julia Garrett on February 24, 1957. Four children were born to this union: Andre’, Harlan, Sr., Harvetta, and Roderick.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was Discharged with Honors. He retired from the E.I. DuPont Sabine River Works Plant after 30 years of service.
Harvest was preceded in death by his parents, son Harlan, Sr., and sister, Era Dell West.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Julia; sons Andre’(Lanier) and Roderick(Brandy) of Orange; daughter Harvetta (George) of Commerce, Texas; sister Adell Franks of Orange; grandchildren Harlan Jr., Chrystina, Ryan, Arabian, Jace, Payton, Nathaniel, and Nicholas; great-grandson Harlan, III; along with a host of family and friends.
