James McDonald, 69, of Orange passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. A visitation was held on December 31, from 5 pm until 8 pm at Little Cypress Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 10 am at the church.Burial will follow at Parish Cemetery.
He was a native and life long resident of Orange; born on March 18, 1941 to the late Walter and Essie (Funchess) McDonald.
He served his country in the Army and he retired as a pipe fitter with Local #195. He enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and hunting. He loved growing fruit trees.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Young) McDonald of Orange; daughter, Melissa Nix of Orange; son, Timothy James McDonald and wife Kimberly of Orange; sisters, Deloris Watson and Betty Brister both of Orange; brothers, Jerry McDonald, Harold McDonald both of Orange and Wayne McDonald of Newton; grandchildren, Kayleb Nabours, Shelby McDonald, Jason Durio and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Little Cypress Baptist Church to help the family with funeral expenses.
