Beeman Clark Wade
Another member from our greatest generation has gone on to be with the Lord.Beeman Clark Wade, 79, of Orange, died Monday, Jan. 3, at the Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Little Cypress Baptist Church in Orange with Reverend David Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Parish Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation of family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Beeman was born in Huntington, Texas on August 6, 1931, and was the oldest son of Clayton and Lydia Wade. He moved to Orange in 1946 and entered Stark High School. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War and a Gulf Oil/Chevron retiree with 33 1/2 years service. He was a long-time member of the Little Cypress Baptist Church and a member of the Orange County Sherriff’s Posse for many years.
He enjoyed 50 good years of caring for and riding his horses. He enjoyed traveling with dear friends in their travel trailers to many states and also traveling with the Orange Gator Sam’s Travel Club.
Beeman was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Zemma Stark.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bernice Barber Wade of Orange; one son, Todd Wade and his wife, Dyann of Orange; two precious granddaughters, Ashleigh Wade and Amy Wade of Orange; brother, W.D. (Bill) Wade of Orange; special brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends of many years.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Van Wade, Van Currie, Earl Tipton, Jim Stark, Bob Bryant and Harold Allbritton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Hinton.
