Ruby Marie Doucet Breaux, 64, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.

Funeral services to honor her life will be at a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Monday, Jan. 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orange. Father Joseph P. Daleo will be the celebrant.

Rite of Committal will follow in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. by Deacon Melvin Payne.

Born on Oct. 4, 1946 in Crowley, Louisiana to her parents, Freddie James Doucet, Sr. and Edith Marie (Romero) Doucet, she lived in Orange since 1966, she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orange where she was a member of the altar society and she worked as a retail manager for the Weiner’s Clothing Store in Orange.

Ruby was a very kind, loving lady who had a great sense of humor; she enjoyed cooking, fishing, crabbing, growing flowers and spending time with her family. Ruby also helped many family members and friends as a caregiver.

Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Juanita “Boo” Cart, those who will most cherish her memory are her children, her son, Sam Cart and wife, Dana; her son, Brian Cart and her daughter, Kim Williford and husband, Louis, all of Orange; her sisters, Elaine McDaniel and husband, Keith, Jennifer Wright and husband, Randy and Tammy Van Winkle and husband, Richard all of Orange; her brothers, Freddie Doucet, Jr.

and wife, Linda, Michael Doucet, Sr.

and Aaron Troy Doucet all of Orange; her grandchildren, Timothy Cart, Kristi Cart, David Cart, Brianna Cart, Abby Cart, Bryson Cart, Aaron Williford, Andrew Williford, Andrea Reno and Alyssa Webb; her great grandchildren, Ethan Cart, Austin Webb and Makenzie Webb.

Ruby is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
